Campus tours

  • Jackson Gardens (3:15) A Tour of Union College's 8 acre Jackson's Garden, one of the most historic formal gardens in the northeastern United States. The Garden was established by Isaac Jackson, a Union College alumnus in the class of 1826 and a professor of mathematics and natural philosophy. Although the exact date of the Garden's beginning is not known, it was in cultivation by 1832. Connie Schmitz is a horticulturalist/landscape specialist in the department of Facilities Services.
  • Nott Memorial (3:30)
    A Historic Tour of the Nott Memorial - Approximately 40 minutes long, this tour will introduce visitors to Joseph Ramee, Eliphalet Nott, Edward Tuckerman Potter, and others who helped create the stunning and idiosyncratic Nott Memorial. Building materials, design symbolism, and function during its 125+ year history will be discussed.
  • Information Technology Services (3:45) Come and see the ITS offices, Faculty Computing Resource Center, student computing labs and meet some of the ITS staff.
